Chicago fans saw their team dismantle the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night, securing a 34-17 victory at Lumen Field. The win moves the Bears to a 6-2 record while keeping the division race tight. Head coach Ben Johnson’s squad proved capable of winning on the road against a hostile crowd.

The Bears’ offense generated 363 total yards, with 237 coming through the air. Quarterback Caleb Williams threw for 200-plus yards, becoming the first signal-caller to reach that mark against Seattle’s defense this season. He connected with Luther Burden III for a 23-yard touchdown and with Rome Odunze for a 24-yard gain. Odunze finished with 87 receiving yards on four catches.

D’Andre Swift carried the ball to the end zone three times. The running back broke through the line for crucial first downs, capitalizing on the offensive line’s execution. Swift’s ground attacks provided a steady rhythm that kept the Seahawks’ secondary off balance throughout the contest.

Defense veteran Jeffery Simmons made his debut for Chicago after being traded from New Orleans. He recorded six combined tackles, a sack, and two tackles for loss. His presence allowed the Bears to pressure the quarterback consistently. James Lynch forced a critical interception late in the third quarter, setting up Swift’s final score with six minutes remaining.

The Seahawks, the reigning Super Bowl champions, struggled to find their offensive groove. They managed only 81 rushing yards despite having acquired left guard Quenton Nelson from the Indianapolis Colts earlier in the season. The addition was intended to protect quarterback Sam Darnold and improve the run game, but the plan fell short against Chicago’s front seven.

Receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba kept Seattle in the game by accumulating over 100 receiving yards. He scored a touchdown just before halftime, preventing the deficit from growing wider. Despite the loss, Seattle remains competitive in their division, though the inconsistency in their offense was exposed in front of their own fans.

The Minnesota Vikings hold the first place spot in the NFC North at 6-1. The Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers trail at 5-2 and 5-3 respectively. The Bears’ victory against the league’s best defense in yards allowed per game signals their strength as the season progresses.
