Mariah Carey is reissuing her 2001 album Glitter with 15 additional tracks. The original release suffered from a poor launch date on September 11, 2001, and a poorly received film. The new 25th anniversary edition includes rare recordings, unreleased songs, and remixes. It also features collaborations with Channel Tres and Rochelle Jordan. The package includes a 4K restoration of the video for the single Loverboy.

The album originally dropped in late 2001. Critics and fans noted that its commercial performance was hindered by external factors at the time. Carey chose to release the anniversary edition before her standard holiday music rollout. This timing allows listeners to access the expanded catalog in the fall of 2026.

Kirk Franklin released his new album I Am What I Am this week. The gospel artist first gained fame with his 1997 hit Stomp. The new record blends modern styles with his traditional sound. It features a collaboration with country rapper Jelly Roll. A lead single with GloRilla and an Afrobeats track with Davido are also included. A second disc contains live recordings. That disc features a choir, an appearance by Tim Rogers, and a duet with Karen Clark-Sheard.

2 Chainz will release a full-length project titled Playaz Only Live Once on December 4. Veteran producer Statik Selektah handles the production on the record. The lead single, A Week In Paris, showcases the duo's chemistry. The song features a nostalgic melody and a slow instrumental. The accompanying music video matches the song's languid pace. 2 Chainz raps about the luxuries of his career in the track.

Other new releases include a single by Coi Leray featuring Lucky Daye. BigXthaPlug dropped an album titled BETTER OVER TIME. Conway the Machine released a single called Diggwutumsayn!. Curren$y and Harry Fraud, with help from Rome Streetz, put out a track named The Telethon. BKTHERULA released an album called N5ON. Yung Bleu shared a single titled Liquid Gold. Snoh Aalegra released a song called Just Friends.

Listeners can stream these new tracks starting this week. The 2 Chainz project arrives next month. The Kirk Franklin album and the Mariah Carey reissue are available now.
