Netanyahu aide urges US-Israeli alliance to remove Iran's government before Tuesday vote

Ophir Falk argues that the current presidential and prime ministerial pairing is best positioned to end the rule of Iran's clerical leadership, a claim reinforced by a direct endorsement from Donald Trump on Sunday.

Ophir Falk, the foreign policy adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has called for the removal of Iran's government in the days leading up to Israel's national election on Tuesday. Falk argued in written remarks that the administration of US President Donald Trump and the Netanyahu government constitute the appropriate team to execute that change.

"Removing the genocidal Ayatollah regime in Iran is in the best interests of America, Israel, and civilization," Falk wrote. He maintained that the current leadership duo has proven capable of carrying out that specific objective.

Falk framed the upcoming election as a choice regarding Israel's strategic partnership with Washington. He posed the question of which leader would best coordinate with the US President to complete the operation in Iran and expand regional peace. He noted that Trump renewed his support for Netanyahu on Sunday evening, urging Israelis to vote for the Prime Minister to finish the work that began during their prior term.

"Vote for Bibi Netanyahu for Prime Minister; we have to finish the job that we started!" Trump wrote on Truth Social. Falk contrasted this support with the preferences of Israel's adversaries. He stated that groups including Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iran itself desire a Netanyahu defeat.

The adviser described the current strategic environment as favorable for the Western alliance. "Israel and the American-Israeli alliance have never been stronger, and Iran and its proxies have never been weaker," Falk said. He previously told the outlet on October 15 that Israel was very close to creating the conditions necessary for a shift in power in Tehran.

While Falk emphasized that the final decision on regime change rests with the Iranian people, his new comments did not specify the operational steps required to remove the current leadership. The remarks provided no timeline for when such a transition might occur, leaving the mechanics of the proposed effort undefined.
